Centre for Movement Arts is the lead organization of its kind in India,
creating a context for contemporary cultural expressions through many
distinct but interlinked programmes such as Education & Outreach,
National & International Platforms for exchange and performance,
Strategic Movement & Digital Arts Development, Research &
Documentation and new performance works by the Attakkalari Repertory.

Attakkalari
is looking to recruit Programme Coordinators in the following areas:
1) The Education
Department - which includes (1)The Diploma in Movement Arts
& Mixed Media the first of its kind in the country, which has
evoked interest from students in India and abroad and (2) the Education
Outreach Programme under which Attakkalari dancers teach and conduct
workshops in movement arts in schools, colleges, corporations and
for the general public. These programmes are closely linked with
universities and institutions internationally and within the country
that are working in research and training. Attakkalari is looking
for a full time Academic Coordinator
who will be responsible for networking and promoting the programme
both within the country and abroad, developing content and managing
the day to day activities.
2) Performance management – which
includes company productions, performances and tours in India and
abroad. Attakkalari is looking for a full time Performance
Coordinator whose responsibilities include
marketing the programme and looking for additional sources of revenue
including corporate performances and workshops, performances for
special events both within the country and internationally. The
job also includes promoting the Mobile Theatre and Young Choreographers
Platform including developing a rural performance circuit.

candidates must be conversant with and committed to the arts, be able
to represent the organization, network and market the work we do. |

| Eligibility |
Candidates must possess good inter-personal and communication skills
both oral and written; be capable of independent thinking and display
leadership qualities. Applicants must be proficient with the computer.
These full-time positions will be based in Bangalore, India but may
include some traveling.
The compensation package will take into account the experience
of the selected candidate.
